Many elements may be taken into account, but only two things really matter: (1) a team's win/loss record which depends upon (2) the number of points scored by and against that team. USING ONLY SCORES, NFL Forecaster assigns each NFL team rankings, and uses them to predict winners and point spreads. It only takes 10 minutes a week to enter the scores and obtain forecasts! Over the last 11 seasons, Forecaster declared only 10% of all games too close to call (even). It attempts to make a forecast for every game, not just "5-star specials" or "this week's picks." Of the 2,201 games it pedicted winners for, it was correct 62.7% of the time and it correctly predicted the spread 58.9% of the times. Over the last 5 years it has correctly predicted the winner 63.7% of the time and the spreads 60.0% of the time. You are guided step-by-step through the process of entering scores, forecasting spreads, saving data, viewing rankings and printing reports. Forecaster is highly configurable and you can: open 6 different view windows; print 5 reports; print or view the NFL schedule; sort the rankings 8 ways; use team or city names. There are functions for non-scheduled and playoff games. Both versions are very easy to use; they include installations programs, status line hints and context-sensitive on-line help. NFL Forecaster for Windows will run on any computer system capable of running Microsoft Windows 3.0 or later (not in Real Mode) with 760K free disk space. NFL Forecaster for DOS requires DOS 3.0 or later, 384K RAM and 724K disk space. ----------------------- Double Directory $15.00 ----------------------- Double directory displays 2 disk directories side-by-side.
